PLYMOUTH TECHNOLOGY PRESIDENT NAMED INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR BY THE MAYOR’S BUSINESS COUNCIL

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI., November 5, 2010 – Plymouth Technology, Inc. (Plymouth Technology) announced that Amanda Christides, President and CEO has been recognized as Innovator of the Year by the Mayor’s Business Council of Rochester Hills.
Each year the award is presented to an individual within a company located in Rochester or Rochester Hills who has invented something that has the potential to change how business is conducted and/or who came up with a process to make a better product. Ms. Christides was recognized for the development, patent, and commercialization of her father’s concept for the Plymouth’s Metal Removal SystemTM. The MRS™ allows manufacturers to reuse water, in some case over 90%. The technology decreases thousands of pounds of waste, which reduces the amount hauled to a landfill, reduces chemical usage, and brings manufacturers in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Christides leadership and innovation skills are what help fuel Plymouth Technology forward in an ever changing market. As member of The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, Vistage International, The National Federation of Independent Business, and the Association of Water Technologies. Christides will continue her efforts in advancing the waste water treatment industry.
